The scientific researchers and medical professionals of LUCID provide elective education on infectious diseases for LUMC students in Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, and other study programs. They are particularly involved in the BSc course Infectious Agents and Immunity, half-minors Global Health and Infections in Health and Disease, and in the Frontiers of Science (FOS) courses offered by LUCID in the Biomedical Sciences master’s program. Additionally, LUCID offers opportunities for internships and graduation projects for students in microbiological, (bio-)medical, or (molecular) biological fields of study at university or applied sciences (HBO) level.
LUCID is involved in numerous top level research projects in which PhD positions are regularly available. Please keep an eye on Albinusnet (LUMC intranet) or national job adverts if you’re interested, or directly contact group leaders (see research group pages). LUCID also coordinates specialistic education for physicians interested in clinical microbiology.
